Andres Miranda started drawing at age 5. Influenced by comic books and wanting to own and drive a car, he drew super heroes and cars all day.
At an early age, Andres talent was noticed and he was mentored by Bill Porteuos, a prominent artist in Victoria BC. Andres went on to attend animation training at Vancouver Film School, and then worked for major animation studios for the next 9 years.
Andres currently lives in Toronto Canada and works as a multi-disciplinary artist. His personal projects range from drawing candid scenes of urban landscapes, to shooting short videos. Recently, Andres has developed a passion for the art of traditional sign painting, and has been developing skills in calligraphic and hand-painted lettering treatments. You can see his signage in and around neighbourhoods in downtown Toronto such as Kensington Market and Dundas West.
